WOMEN
in
MEDIA
was
founded
in
1995
for
the
specific
purpose
of
increasing
the
opportunities
for
women
to
access
all
communications
and
media
systems
including
cybernetic
and
satellite
systems.
WIM
seeks
to
establish
a
WIM
production
and
education
center
for
the
purpose
of
facilitating
women's
full
entry
into
the
media
industry
by
training
women
in
the
areas
of
production,
programming,
distribution,
and
research.
WOMEN
in
MEDIA
seeks
to
develop
television,
video
and
radio
programs
that
define
women's
concerns,
that
address
important
social
issues,
and
that
promote
women's
leadership
in
all
media.
The
founder,
Ms
Azarra
Lanteri,
is
a
professional
film,
television
and
radio
producer
with
over
15
years
of
media
experience,
broadcasting
both
at
a
local
and
global
level.
WOMEN
in
MEDIA
has
an
advisory
board
made
up
of
women
professionals
whose
work
has
reached
a
wide
international
audience.

Production
and
Training
center

Production
of
a
13-part
women's
television/radio
series
featuring
women
creating
important
local
and
global
changes.
This
series,
once
produced,
will
receive
international
distribution
through
Global
Vision
Productions

Continuing
affiliation
with
the
Media
Task
Force
of
the
Beijing
Conference
on
Women.
4.
The
compilation
of
an
International
directory
of
women
producers
and
media
experts.
5.
Internet
resource
to
disseminate
information
about
available
media
materials
